Certified Solutions
Since 1978, the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association has
sponsored a Certified Professional (CP) program for individuals
in the nursery and landscape industry. Over 865 individuals have
achieved the certified status.
The objective of the MNLA
Certified Professional program is to uphold, improve, and promote
standards of professionalism and excellence within the industry.
In addition to hosting its own certification program, the MNLA endorses several other industry certification programs including:
- Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute - Paver Installation Certification Program
- National Concrete Masonry Assocation - Segmental Retaining Wall Certification Program
- International Society of Arboriculture - Certified Arborist Program
- Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) - Certification Programs
- Irrigation Association - Certification Programs
Certified Professionals in all a
reas must pass an exam and
must attend a series of continuing education classes and participate
in industry improvement activities. These certifications ensure that
business patrons benefit from the best knowledge and experience
in the green industry.
